Delivery Policy & Information
We offer FREE same-day local delivery for orders placed by 2PM EST Monday–Friday and by 12PM EST Saturday-Sunday. Although our storefront is closed on Sundays, we still conduct deliveries — with a firm cut-off time of 1PM.
Delivery Timing
Preferred delivery times are not guaranteed, be we always do our best to accommodate requests.
- Business deliveries are scheduled to arrive by 5PM unless otherwise noted.
- Grade school deliveries are scheduled to arrive by 3PM unless otherwise noted.
- College & university deliveries are accepted but not preferred due to access limitations.
When possible, we recommend an alternate delivery address.
- We are unable to deliver flowers to a P.O. Box or A.P.O. addresses.
Changes and Cancellations
- If the recipient's address is incorrect—either by incorrect entry by the sender or otherwise—and delivery was attempted to the provided address, there is a $10 address correction fee.
Twinbrook Floral Design can not be held responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses submitted to us by the customer. If such a delivery is made, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase.
- Same-day orders are processed immediately, and usually cannot be changed. Due to the urgent nature of florist delivered products, we are unable to change orders already in process, en route, or delivered.
- Cancellations must be requested prior to delivery, and in all cases within 24 hours of placing your order. Any cancellation requests after this period cannot be guaranteed and are subject to a 20% charge.
To cancel or change an order that has not been processed, please call us at (703) 978-3700.
- If the recipient refuses to accept a delivery, the sender may be held fully liable for the cost of the gift.
Funeral Deliveries
We take special care to ensure funeral service deliveries are completed with thoughtful handling and punctuality.
- For funeral homes, deliveries are made at least 2 hours prior to the service start time.
- For church services, deliveries are made at least 1 hour prior to service start time.
To ensure accuracy, please include the following required information at the time of purchase:
- Deceased's full name (first and last—nicknames and family names are discouraged)
- Service location (type of location and name of location—hours of operation may be helpful as well.
- Date and start time of services
Hospital Deliveries
For hospital deliveries, we do not send arrangements out until we've verified the patient's name and room number on the day of delivery. This ensures we have the most current and accurate information.
- If the hospital advises the the patient cannot receive flowers, or no patient is listed under the provided name, the delivery will be paused, and we'll contact the sender for updated information or an alternate delivery address.
- If upon delivery our driver finds the patient has been discharged, the arrangement will be returned to our shop and we'll reach out to coordinate a re-delivery.
If the Recipient is Not Home
- We may leave the flowers in a safe, appropriate location — weather permitting — unless otherwise instructed.
- We will not leave the arrangement in unsafe areas or in extreme weather conditions.
- If the delivery is left by sender request, we are not responsible for loss, damage, or theft.
Re-Delivery Policy
If we are unable to complete a delivery due to:
- An invalid or undeliverable address
- The recipient leaving work early
- Unsafe conditions
The arrangement will be returned to our shop, and we'll contact both the sender and the recipient to coordinate a re-delivery.
Firm Delivery Requirements
- Valid delivery address
- Valid phone numbers for both the sender and the recipient
- Delivery location type (home, business, apartment, school, hospital, funeral home or church, etc.)
Please add any and all necessary information about the delivery location that will assist your delivery driver in completing the delivery as efficiently as possible, including but not limited to:
- Business and/or building name
- Business hours of operation
- Apartment number and name of complex
- Condo number and/or building name/number
- School name and location of recipient
- Office location
- Floor number
- Suite number
- Any further instructions your driver may need
